Podcast Series: Who is for Sale?

Updated: Apr 10, 2024

Listen to WestCoast's 5-part podcast series, "Who is for Sale?," where we discuss how racism and misogyny drive child sex trafficking in the United States.

As women and their allies across the country voice opposition to policies that explicitly endanger women and girls, the need to address the impact of the child sex trade on girls of color is greater than ever.

In November 2016, we hosted a live panel with five national experts in the anti-trafficking movement:

  • Honorable Stacy Boulware Eurie - Associate Justice of the Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District

  • Minh Dang - Member, U.S. Advisory Council on Human Trafficking and Executive Director and Co-founder of Survivor Alliance

  • Dr. Holly Joshi - Former Executive Director, MISSSEY and Current Director of the Center for Social Justice at GLIDE

  • Nancy O'Malley - Former District Attorney, Alameda County

  • Malika Saada Saar - Senior Counsel of Civil and Human Rights, Google, and Co-Founder of Rights4Girls

WestCoast CEO Stacey Katz said, “The sexual exploitation of kids happens because we let it happen — conversely then, we can stop it. But meaningful social change—a true culture shift—takes more than what any one of us can do. It takes a critical mass including you, who are a part of our WestCoast community.”

We are grateful to the survivors, community members, advocates, and providers who joined us for this important conversation.
