ABOUT US
Located in Oakland, California, WestCoast Children's Clinic has been providing mental health services for Bay Area children and families since 1979. Rooted in the experiences of children and families, we integrate direct service, training, policy, and research to address individual needs while working to improve the systems and public policies that impact their lives.
MISSION
Our mission is to provide mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families regardless of their ability to pay; train the next generation of mental health professionals; and conduct research to inform clinical practice and public policy.

WHO WE SERVE
We serve over 1,000 children each year who live at the intersection of racism, poverty, and intergenerational trauma. Many of the youth we serve have experienced family disruption, community violence, and other life stressors. Over 80% have been removed from their families due to abuse or neglect, with the remaining at risk of entering foster care. They come to us with challenges that are often misunderstood, and strengths that go unrecognized. Youth at WestCoast have big dreams. We support them in building the lives they envision.
