SERVICES
OUTPATIENT THERAPY
Our Outpatient clinicians meet youth and families where they are, ready to provide supportive therapeutic services and care coordination. We center the experiences of the youth and families we serve, working alongside them to develop their vision of change and support their journey to get there.
WHAT HAPPENS AT OUTPATIENT?
When a youth begins Outpatient Services, they are matched with a therapist who is ready to listen and grow with the youth. Therapists work with the youth to learn where they are, what they need, how they ended up here, what their goals are, and what they feel is in their way. Therapists can meet with youth at our clinic, but they also meet at parks, libraries, even McDonalds - whatever feels most safe and comfortable for the youth. Virtual sessions are also welcome. During sessions, youth and their therapist may talk, play games, create art, practice yoga, learn breathing exercises, or even play video games together. WestCoast therapists focus on being with the youth, building relationships, and working together with the youth and their support systems to meet the youth’s goals. Services last as long as the youth need and look different based on every youth’s strengths and goals.

CHILD THERAPY, FAMILY THERAPY, COMMUNITY THERAPY
Team based care is at the heart of our clinic and our Outpatient Services. When we work with children and young adults, we are always working with the people who are most important to them. We look at the whole child and all the systems they're involved in – school, family, extracurriculars, jobs, probation, foster care, etc. We work with natural supports and/or other agencies involved in a youth's life, fueled by our value for community and connection. Child therapy is always family therapy, always community therapy.
INTENSIVE CARE COORDINATION
During intake and throughout care, we check to see if youth and young adults are eligible for Intensive Care Coordination (ICC) services. The ICC team steps in to help coordinate all the moving parts. The ICC team wants to prevent the youth from being pulled in different directions. At child and family team meetings, youth and their team discuss hope statements, identify strengths, identify challenges, develop a safety plan, and talk about what steps will be taken next to continue to meet the youth’s goals.
