SERVICES
C-CHANGE
C-Change is an intensive, community-based mental health program that serves youth who are commercially sexually exploited or at risk of exploitation.
HEALTHIER LIVES, FREE FROM EXPLOITATION
C-Change staff work with youth to develop and pursue their goals and support them through difficult times. We build enduring relationships with youth and stay with them through all stages of healing. Through offering a relationship where staff expect nothing in exchange, we counter the message that all relationships are transactional. This creates an opportunity for youth to build trust and develop their sense of agency. Young people begin to see themselves as worthy of care and respect and learn the skills needed to advocate for themselves.

WHAT HAPPENS AT C-CHANGE?

Therapy in C-Change can take place in many settings–this might be at their home, a coffee shop, park, at our clinic, or other locations where the youth feels safe and comfortable. We support young people on things that are most important to them, whether it’s finding a safe living situation, managing difficult feelings, or understanding their experiences. Sometimes youth want support preparing for a difficult day such as navigating conflict, being kicked out, attending a court appearance, navigating school enrollment, or a job interview.
C-Change uses a team approach–we collaborate with family members, teachers, social workers, and other important people in the youth’s life to help them support the young person. Our work is long-term, and is flexible to meet the youth’s needs as they change over time.
Together we help youth live healthier lives, free from victimization.
